The house was a 9.5. The website didn't show it.
Fra le Righe is an artist's home in the old centre of Catania, Sicily: three rooms, a terrace among the rooftops, books and paintings everywhere. We rebuilt the website from scratch, made to measure, so it reads like a magazine and takes the guest all the way to a direct booking.

More than 130 reviews, from the house's website on 13 October 2026
BeforeA Catania, una casa da vivere e una città tutta da scoprire.“In Catania, a house to live in and a city to discover.” Our translation: the old site had no English version.
AfterThere is a Catania to be read between the lines.
A house like this deserved more.
The reviews were already excellent. The website wasn't: a slightly dated WordPress theme, generic copy, “Book now” repeated in every section. The house was there; its character wasn't. The owners knew it first: they wanted an elegant site, almost like a magazine, that would turn visits into bookings and help them rely less on the booking portals.

The words are theirs. We put them in order.
We wrote the copy together with the owner. She knows every corner of the house; we know how a page is read. Each room became a chapter with a name and an idea: Sottotesto, Contrappunto, Origami.
Contrappunto
Disegnata con spazi ampi e linee decise.
30 m², vista giardino.
“Designed with wide spaces and bold lines. 30 m², garden view.” Our translation.
Contrappunto
What enters into dialogue.
The most personal of the three. An asymmetrical suite: a generous armchair in dialogue with the iron canopy bed; a mobile sculpture turning slowly, while the house's most geometric paintings meet the softness of the fabrics. The room looks onto the inner garden, away from the city. Nothing matches, yet everything holds together.
It scrolls the way you read.
The homepage is a story in chapters: the house, the three rooms, the terrace in the morning and in the evening, the collection and the studio, Catania. It opens with a video and, for those who want it, with sound. On a phone, Book, Call and Contact always stay under your thumb.

A photographer introduced us.
We were brought to Fra le Righe by Alessandro Gruttadauria, a photographer and one of our clients (AG Photo Studios). The photos of the house are his; the opening video is by one of his collaborators. We put them where they work best.

They kept their booking engine. We made it live up to the house.
Calendar, prices and payments stay on VikBooking, the system they already used: no bookings to migrate, nothing to learn again. The booking pages, though, we redesigned from scratch in the site's own style, so the guest never feels they are “leaving” right at the moment of booking. And every direct booking is a booking with no portal commission.

The owners update the site themselves.
Rooms, copy and photos are changed in FRAME, the panel that comes with every site we build. Availability and prices stay on VikBooking. Nobody has to call us to change a photo.

Sottotesto
What is sensed.
The largest of the three suites. Quiet, with three large French doors opening onto its private terrace.
